I’ve been feeling a little over-stimulated with the beauty and sizzle of today’s sites (likely a hazard of being a long-time marketer and designer), and so am stepping away from the entertainment and eye candy that I see is running rampant in my industry, in favour of honest conversation and sharing valuable information that serves people. Refreshing change? You tell me. 🙂

As you’re here reading this, you’re probably either feeling overwhelmed by all the options in front of you and unsure of the “right” things to focus on (or when), you’re at a crossroads and want to take the right path but can’t decide which it is, or you’re losing the passion you had when you started your business. I get it. I challenge you to find someone who has been in business for almost 20 years who has NOT felt overwhelmed, taken a wrong path, or lost their passion from time to time. You’re in good company. I believe it’s the enduring entrepreneurs who LEARN A LOT from mistakes. And I’ve had some doozies in my career. The good news is I survived, and so can you. I’d be honoured to help you (re)focus, (re)align, (re)energize so you will once again move forward with confidence and excitement.

A Straight Forward Approach

Let’s take a moment to be straight forward, shall we? The core purpose of a website – or any marketing material for that matter – is to create an environment where the reader gets to know a little more about you, your company, your philosophy and your services, which helps them determine whether they like you or if a potential rapport can be built over needs-served and shared values, and ideally creates enough trust in your promises to have them commit to furthering the relationship in some way. This isn’t news. Nor is it a surprise. Just makes sense. And I’m all about making sense. And about making things simple. So…

Get To Know Me

You’ve likely gleaned already that I’m “into” adding value and serving others, and you’ve probably realized I like to be direct and I don’t follow the flow or go with “what’s hot” (unless it makes sense). What you may not know is I have been serving entrepreneurs, not-for-profits and corporations (and volunteering) for more than 30 years (is it really THAT long? Share My Values?

I believe conversation needs to happen in order to build rapport and discover shared values. One good place for conversation is social media, which is why it’s such an interesting tool. Connect with me at an event I’m at (speaking or attending). I meet the most wonderful people and have fascinating conversations when I network, which is why I love to network!
